Amazing properties of the fungus mushroom in the treatment of various ailments and in cosmetology. Reviews from doctors and patients

The unusual shape and the change in smell during growth already make this mushroom an interesting object to observe. But, as it turned out, it is also a medicine. Veselka vulgare mushroom - medicinal properties and contraindications, recipes and applications, cosmetic possibilities and doctors' opinion about an unusual natural object, read on.

As many people have called the common veselka - a witches egg, a stinking morel, an upstart, a scoundrel, a damn egg. But such unattractive names, nevertheless, had no connection with the properties that the unusual mushroom demonstrated. Among the interesting facts about Veselka: the mushroom has long been considered a powerful aphrodisiac, and Montenegrin peasants rubbed its mucus on the necks of bulls before competitions such as bullfighting. Balzac himself treated stomach ulcers with tincture of Veselka, and successfully.

Description

At a young age, the fungus has an ovoid shape, and the fruiting mushroom body is surrounded by a thin mucous membrane under a light leathery film. During ripening, this part of the mushroom breaks into several blades. And here the most interesting thing begins - the record-breaking mushroom shows amazing growth rates. Veselka reaches its largest size in 15-20 (maximum 40 minutes).

Before our eyes, a thin leg grows from the egg, and at its upper tip a “hat” appears with a spore-bearing mucous liquid. This greenish slime just smells disgusting. Flies and other insects fly towards this “amber” and spread the fungal spores, staining their paws in the foul-smelling liquid. And when the insects sort out all the spores, the terrible smell will disappear.

Veselka does not tolerate frost well, and it bears fruit only until the end of the first autumn month. The forest product will be edible only in the “egg” phase. Raw veselka tastes like radish.

In Russia, Veselka grows throughout the temperate forest zone. She chooses mainly deciduous and mixed forests and likes to settle near bushes. The places where it grows are infrequent and sparse. This fungus is a symbiotroph; it is capable of forming mycorrhiza with oak, linden or beech. Veselka does not tolerate frost well, and it bears fruit only until the end of the first autumn month. The forest product will be edible only in the “egg” phase. Raw veselka tastes like radish.

Before preparing the veselka, the skin must be removed, making sure to remove the jelly-like layer. The green center is usually fried or stewed. But those who are accustomed to not only being satisfied with the taste of the mushroom use Veselka as a unique medicinal remedy. You need to understand that there are a lot of fungi. But the most common in Russia and, in fact, medicinal is Veselka vulgaris.

More information about what this mushroom looks like in the article: An unusual and very useful Veselka mushroom: description, many photos. Where it grows in Russia, how to collect and use

general characteristics

Veselka has a specific appearance: its fruiting body is ovoid. A mature mushroom has a cap similar to a bell. Its color varies from white with various shades to green.

At first, the veselka has the appearance of an egg, which lies on the ground with its wide part down, but as it matures and grows, the shell cracks, and an oblong fruiting body appears from it. Its leg can reach up to 20 cm in length. When the body appears, it begins to grow upward very quickly. Scientists noted that its growth rate is 5 mm per minute.

The fungus reproduces by spores. Its cap is still developing in the ground.

The mushroom is covered with mucus, which makes it unpleasant to the touch. The pulp of the Veselka is gelatinous. While the mushroom is young, it does not emit an unpleasant odor, but when it matures, it begins to smell like carrion.

This mushroom is a relative of the puffball mushroom. It is not poisonous and is edible at the egg stage.

In Russia, Veselka is not considered a mushroom suitable for food, but in some Western European countries it is added to various dishes and even eaten raw (France, Czech Republic). Only young mushrooms that resemble eggs are eaten. After the stems sprout, they become unfit for consumption, as the process of rotting immediately begins in their body.

Within 2-3 days after germination of the stem, the mushroom rots and turns into a small puddle of mucous mass.

It has been proven that the Veselka mushroom has medicinal substances similar to shiitake, but in the named mushroom they are more pronounced.

Chemical composition

Today, Veselka is reasonably considered a medicinal raw material. For example, laboratory studies have confirmed its antitumor activity, and this characteristic is attracting more and more attention to the mushroom.

The chemical composition of the funnel is presented:

  • phytoncides - they resist a wide variety of viruses and bacteria (influenza, herpes and even hepatitis are in their zone of action);
  • polysaccharides – help prevent the growth of cancer cells;
  • antihistamine compounds - able to stop processes caused by allergies, relieve swelling and irritation from organs;
  • antioxidants – prevent the appearance of free radicals;
  • phytosteroids – important for the male reproductive system;
  • vitamins, valuable minerals and complex amino acids , which have a beneficial effect on the condition of the skin and cellular renewal.

Attention!
Official medicine has proven the anti-inflammatory, antioxidant, and immunostimulating properties of the common vesel. It is used in traditional Chinese medicine, as well as in folk healing in different countries, and, importantly, in domestic fungotherapy. Healers claim that the most effective remedy is Veselka juice, which can be obtained at any stage of ripening.

How and when to collect

The period of active fruiting of the common veselka stretches from May to September . But in order to get the most delicious and healthy edible mushroom, it is better to go for it in August, choosing a sunny and moderately hot day for your hike. It is at this time that mycelium activity is highest and it is much easier to detect them.

Like other mushrooms, the morel sprouts en masse after long and prolonged rains, which means that already in the first warming you can go into the forest for mushroom hunting

As for the collection process, the discovered young ovoid mushrooms are removed from the ground using a spatula or simply with your hands, carefully twisting them out of the ground. Already “hatched” specimens can be cut or picked and subsequently placed in a wide container.

The collected mushrooms can be immediately used to prepare first and second courses, or they can be dried and ground into powder, from which it is very convenient in the future to prepare various tinctures for medical purposes.

Important! Do not forget that the surface of the fruiting bodies is quite soft, so try not to press it with your fingers so as not to crumble the mushroom. Small parts are not so convenient to clean and use when creating blanks.

Medicinal properties

Chinese doctors consider the mushroom especially useful in the fight against rheumatism. Bulgarian healers use the forest product in the treatment of gout and epilepsy, and in Germany they treat severe stomach pain and the same gout. In Russia, the medicinal mushroom is held in special esteem as the most effective means of removing cholesterol from blood vessels. And, naturally, its antiviral and anticancer properties are of interest.

When (for what diseases and conditions) is Veselka used:

  • If necessary, activate the body's antitumor immune response. The body begins to produce perforin, which prevents cancer cells from dividing and forming a tumor. The components of the fungus can resolve tumors of various types, cysts, as well as polyps and adenomas.
  • With increased “bad” cholesterol in the body, this remedy is considered very effective.
  • Hypertension and the risk of developing atherosclerosis are another area of influence of the forest product.
  • Destruction of influenza viruses, herpes, as well as hepatitis, cytomegalovirus, and hidden infections.
  • Healing of gastrointestinal ulcers, treatment of hemorrhoids, as well as fistulas and fissures in the rectum.
  • Correction of erectile function, combating infertility of various etiologies. It is a powerful aphrodisiac.
  • Fighting inflammatory processes in the gastrointestinal tract, liver and kidneys, as well as joint inflammation.
  • Thrombophlebitis, pathologies of the thyroid gland.
  • The mushroom heals trophic ulcers, bites, relieves itching, helps with psoriasis and eczema, and relieves pain.

Important! Fungotherapists recommend taking Veselka even for therapeutic purposes: they believe that the mushroom will help people recover faster in the postoperative period, and they are confident in its power against VSD. In fungotherapy, Veselka is considered an excellent prevention of impotence, which is why an infusion of the mushroom is recommended for men over 25 years of age .
The Veselka mushroom, the description of which as a medicinal product, probably only increases interest in the unique natural product; it must also be used correctly. The issue of indications/contraindications, dosage and in folk medicine requires serious consideration.

TRADITIONAL AND FOLK MEDICINE

In traditional Chinese medicine, the mushroom is used as a remedy against rheumatism. In Bulgarian folk medicine, Veselka is used in the treatment of gout and epilepsy. In Germany, the mushroom is used as a remedy against gout and severe stomach pain. In India, a water infusion of Veselka served as a folk remedy against typhus.

In Russian fungotherapy and folk medicine, Veselka (“earth oil”) is considered the queen of mushrooms for its ability to remove cholesterol from the body and lower blood pressure (with hypertension), kill malignant cancer cells, tuberculosis bacilli, herpes viruses, influenza, hepatitis and even AIDS.

The mushroom is used in the following cases and is believed to have the following effects:

  • activation of the body's antitumor immune function;
  • causes the human body to produce perforin, which prevents cancer cells from dividing and forming into a tumor
  • resorption of malignant (sarcoma, melanoma, leukemia and other oncological diseases) and benign tumors (polyps, cysts, pituitary adenomas, prostate adenomas, etc.);
  • removes cholesterol, lowers blood pressure, prevents the development of atherosclerosis;
  • heals ulcers of the gastrointestinal tract, is used for hemorrhoids, fistulas and cracks in the rectal mucosa;
  • destroys herpes viruses, influenza, hepatitis, cytomegalovirus;
  • destroying hidden infections, increases potency, fights infertility;
  • relieves inflammation of the gastrointestinal tract, kidneys, liver, inflammation and joint pain (gout);
  • with thrombophlebitis, paralysis, enlarged thyroid gland;
  • when used externally, it relieves trophic ulcers, bedsores, joint pain, skin tumors, psoriasis and eczema, heals bites, and is an antipruritic and analgesic.
  • useful for enhancing potency, that is, it is a strong aphrodisiac.

Water infusions and alcohol tinctures from fresh or dried fruit bodies of Veselka are used. According to available data, Veselka drugs do not conflict with any other dosage forms or drugs.

Veselka in the “egg” stage

According to healer experience, Veselka juice has the greatest healing properties, and this juice can be obtained at any stage of ripening. Depending on the stage of development of the fungus, the juice was extracted, various diseases can be treated. The juice obtained from the mushroom, which is in the jelly-like egg stage, is considered the most healing. This juice cures benign tumors and malignant hypertension. For gout, various joint diseases and skin diseases, the juice of an already mature mushroom with spores is more suitable; It is likely that the brown-green mucus that is produced to attract flies has some specific way of acting on affected skin and inflamed joints. By the way, Russian healers and herbalists treat eczema with this disgusting-smelling mucus. It is not completely known what really works here and where the “magic of similarity” and, accordingly, self-hypnosis of patients is used. But the number of people cured by Vesel is large.[1]

  • Fungotherapists especially recommend using Veselka for preventive purposes: for men over 25 years of age; people who have undergone any operations; those who have been diagnosed with vegetative-vascular dystonia.
  • The medicinal and cosmetic use of the vesel has a wide range of effects. It effectively fights skin diseases (dermatitis, mycoses, pyoderma, psoriasis, eczema, fungal foot infections and nail infections), varicose veins, and benign formations on the skin (papillomas, lipomas, warts). Veselka-based tonics clean and whiten the skin well, help cope with nevi (moles), as well as disinfect and heal it and are suitable for all skin types, especially problem skin.
  • Veselka ointment has a rare effect of restoring the skin (tested it on myself: no worse than fly agaric), rejuvenating the cellular composition and preventing the occurrence of various age-related and other formations associated with disorders of skin regeneration processes. Increased turgor and improved skin color are also a consequence of this effect.

Contraindications and side effects

The main contraindication will be individual intolerance to the mushroom, and, accordingly, to any recipe based on it. Otherwise, Veselka should be treated the same as other mushrooms. This is a heavy food, so it is not given to children under 6 years of age. It is not recommended for use by pregnant and lactating women. If you do not tolerate other edible mushrooms well, then Veselka will most likely be no exception.

According to the data available to fungotherapists, Veselka preparations do not conflict with other medicines, both official and folk medicine.
Side effects can occur due to an overdose of drugs or abuse of Veselka as a food product. You should not take Veselka medications without indications .

Places of growth

The mushroom can be found in coniferous and deciduous forests. It is usually found near stumps and near dying trees. Most often, Veselka appears near oak, fir trees, and walnut trees. The fungus prefers fertile soils.

Much less commonly, Veselka can be found in bushes near swamps and ponds.

Veselka practically does not grow in the southern regions. In Russia, this mushroom is common in Siberia, the Caucasus, and can sometimes be seen in the Black Sea regions.

Mushrooms begin to appear in June and bear fruit until October. The peak of their active growth occurs in August.

The growth of Veselka largely depends on weather conditions: it does not tolerate drought in the summer and the first autumn frosts.

The mycelium quickly stops developing: it does not form in the same place for several years.

Recipes with Veselka mushroom

There are several basic recipes that are considered the most successful, effective and time-tested.

If you have an advanced case, then perhaps mushrooms alone will not be enough and it is worth combining treatment with conventional treatment, for example, by removing a significant part of the tumor. Veselka speeds up recovery after any surgery. It is also worth using synthetite for these purposes, which, in addition to accelerating the regeneration of any tissue, has been laboratory proven to be effective in suppressing cancer cells. It is absolutely safe for humans and goes well with mushrooms.

What does the Veselka mushroom look like and where does it grow?

The growing season of Veselka is June-September, it depends on natural and weather conditions. The fungus does not tolerate drought and frost; in such conditions, the mycelium stops developing. Veselka constantly changes its place of growth, as if hiding from people. It reproduces by spores carried by flies and insects. The mushroom grows in European countries, Ukraine, Belarus, and less often in Russian territories - the Caucasus, the Urals, Siberia, and the Far East. It is listed in the Red Book as a rare and endangered species. Currently, Veselka is grown at home using special technology.

mushroom egg is a valuable product for both medicinal and culinary purposes

Mushroom egg

Next to the adult mushroom there are white eggs, reminiscent of chicken or goose eggs. The egg reaches up to 7 cm in diameter, has a smooth, leathery shell of a white-cream color. It firmly holds onto the ground with its thin root. Inside the egg there is gelatinous pulp with the smell of radish. The egg develops in the soil for about three weeks, then a leg and a fungal cap emerge from the shell, like a chick, which grows at an astronomical speed (up to 5 mm per minute).

Adult mushroom

An adult Veselka is similar to a bell and has a dark olive color with various shades. A hole in the form of a spot forms in the center of the cap, through which the fungus releases spores. The surface of the funnel is covered with earthen oil - an unpleasant mucus in which these spores float. The mucus is quickly eaten by insects and the color of the cap becomes yellowish. An adult mushroom exists for no more than three days, then it quickly decomposes and rots, leaving only a wet mark.

Warning: twins

Veselka has similar twin brothers - Mutinus canine and Veselka Hadrian.

However, Mutinus is smaller in size, has a darker shell color with a yellow tint, and is attached to the mycelium by several roots (the Vesel has one).

Veselka Hadriana has eggs with purple streaks, and an adult mushroom has a mesh veil.

Application for weight loss

Often, excess weight is a consequence of metabolic disorders. In particular, diabetes mellitus is a common disease associated with this failure. The chemical composition of veselka can also show its effect in case of metabolic disorders in the body. The mushroom acts as a kind of regulator of the metabolic process, therefore it will also be a good controller when losing weight. Of course, one mushroom is not enough for weight loss. If you eat incorrectly, there will be no result, or it will be unstable. But the fact that Veselka supports normal metabolic processes is unambiguous.

Veselka mushroom in section

The fungus mushroom, a video of which shows what this natural product looks like and how uniquely it grows, turns out to be truly a “many-armed healer.” But you should take it with caution, maintaining the prescribed dosage and, of course, being confident in the quality of the product.

Useful properties of Veselka extract

  • relieves inflammatory processes in any tissues of the body, including malignant and benign neoplasms;
  • suppresses pathogenic flora and helps the growth of symbiotic bacteria in the intestines;
  • significantly improves immunity;
  • wound healing effect;
  • antispasmodic effect;
  • restores biochemical balance in the body;
  • normalizes metabolic processes;
  • increases the elasticity of blood vessels;
  • removes toxins from the body;
  • cleanses lymph;
  • normalizes brain function;

The phytosteroids that make up Veselka behave like testosterone in the human body and are absolutely harmless, which is especially important for prostate tumors and their treatment.

Veselka mushroom contraindications

This mushroom has almost no contraindications. It is advised to limit its use:

  • during pregnancy and lactation;
  • children under 5 years old (according to some sources - children under 12 years old);
  • in case of intolerance to the contained substances

Where can I buy?

Where can you get such a wonderful mushroom? Preparations from this product can be purchased at the pharmacy. The approximate price, for example, of mushroom drops is 800 rubles. But 60 capsules with mushroom powder can cost 1500-1900 rubles (depending on the manufacturer).

There are special farms that sell dried mushrooms or tinctures made according to proven recipes. If you yourself want to collect the mushroom, process it and make it into medicinal raw materials, you need to have a good understanding of mushrooms in principle. Because not everyone has such an opportunity, pharmacy products with fun become a safe analogue to homemade products.

Description of the mushroom and where it grows

The young veselka has an ovoid or spherical fruiting body, often almost completely underground. Its base has white strands of mycelium. The color of the fruiting body is off-white. The diameter of the ball is 3–5 cm. The leg forms very quickly. It is spongy, hollow and with rather thin walls.

When the mushroom reaches adulthood, its cap becomes bell-shaped with a hole at the top. Mucus appears on top of it, emitting the aroma of carrion. Its color becomes dark olive. After a short period of time, the spore-bearing part of the fungus is destroyed by insects. Now the cap becomes cellular and yellowish in color.

Did you know? Veselka growth rate

5 mm/1 min.
Within half an hour, a leg appears from the fruiting body. Veselka lives in deciduous forests in places with nutritious soil. Can grow in groups or alone. The spread of the fungus is helped by insects attracted by the unpleasant aroma.

Doctors' opinion

Russian mycologist Mikhail Vishnevsky writes a lot and interestingly about mushrooms. The candidate of biological sciences says that laboratory studies have shown how Veselka extract reduces the risk of developing thrombophlebitis. Other studies have documented that Veselka also contains phytosteroids, whose effects are similar to the male sex hormones androgens. Veselka has a positive effect on male potency, and today this is not only a thesis of traditional medicine, but also a scientifically proven theory.

Veselka extract has been proven to reduce the risk of developing thrombophlebitis

Fungotherapist Viktor Chikuenok began growing medicinal mushrooms on his own farm, from which he began to prepare medicinal infusions individually for each patient. He studied the effects of mushrooms on the body using an ART device. And Victor’s experience also suggests that the kingdom of mushrooms needs to be studied more and more. Once upon a time they already revolutionized medicine (with the invention of penicillin), and humanity is close to a new “mushroom revolution”, and some experts are sure that it has already begun.

Many doctors whose field of activity is not fungotherapy also draw patients’ attention to the special properties of medicinal mushrooms, including Veselka.

Veselka mushroom – reviews from doctors, in brief:

  • Veselka mushroom can also help against cancer, but basically it is still a combination therapy combined with standard protocols. Self-medication, unreasonable and uncontrolled, will be ineffective and may prevent a person from starting treatment on time.
  • Veselka is really useful for the immune system, provided that the mushroom is well tolerated and used correctly.
  • If you have doubts about such treatment, but want to try it, you need to use only pharmaceutical drugs and only according to the scheme. The results need to be monitored in a laboratory. For example, it is possible to prove that cholesterol levels have decreased only through analysis, etc.

You should not give mushrooms to a small child, even medicinal ones. His body is not yet ready to digest such heavy food. Children should be treated under the guidance of a pediatrician.

Growing Veselka at home

Despite its specific smell and unsightly appearance, Veselka is especially valued due to its medicinal properties. Since you can’t find the mushroom everywhere, the question arises: is it possible to grow the fungus yourself, at home?

It is quite possible to do this. First you need to purchase mycelium. It should be stored in the refrigerator before planting.

Proper planting of Veselka mycelium on a site requires a certain algorithm.

  1. First you need to make 30 cm deepenings in the ground, lay out 3 layers of nutrient composition (10 cm each).
  2. The first layer is leaves, tree bark, grass.
  3. The second layer is forest humus. Veselka mycelium is evenly poured onto this layer.
  4. The top layer is plant remains, leaves.
  5. The landing site is covered with garden soil.

For 1 sq. m of nutrient medium, 100 g of mycelium is sufficient.

It is best to plant Veselka in late autumn, right up to frost of -5 degrees.

These mushrooms need to be watered drip-wise, not abundantly, once a week. If the weather is rainy and cloudy, then this should be done even less often.

In the winter, the place where mushrooms are planted can be covered with plastic wrap, although this is not necessary: the mycelium of the Veselka is not afraid of even severe frosts. In addition, the heat that is released when compost rots is quite sufficient for the development of mycelium.

This medicinal mushroom can also be grown indoors, in boxes. Landing places are basements, sheds, verandas, garages, that is, darkened areas. The temperature in the premises should be between 14-35 degrees.

In open areas, the mycelium of the fungus grows for 7-8 years, in indoor areas - 5-6 years.

The first harvest of mushrooms after planting can be harvested after 2 months. After this, new mushrooms will grow twice a month.

Rules for procurement of raw materials

mushroom eggs should be collected very carefully, trying not to damage the mycelium

Subtleties of collection. Habitat

The most valuable part of a mushroom is the egg and the stem of the young mushroom. You can find veselka in mixed, deciduous and coniferous forests. The mushroom emits an unpleasant odor of carrion and rotting radishes. Mushroom pickers use this aroma to determine the location of the mushroom; white eggs are always found next to it. They are carefully removed from the soil, trying not to damage the mycelium. Mushrooms cannot be washed; they are only cleaned of soil and debris. Dry the eggs and the stems cut lengthwise, hanging them on threads in a well-ventilated place protected from sunlight.
