How many minutes to fry boiled honey mushrooms. Secrets and recipes for cooking fried forest mushrooms

What dish to cook

There are many dishes with honey mushrooms, but perhaps the most common is fried potatoes with mushrooms. How to cook it? First you need to peel the potatoes and cut them into slices. Next, heat the frying pan, add a little vegetable oil and pour the prepared potatoes into it. It is better to fry this product over medium or high heat, stirring frequently. If you like your potatoes well-fried, you need to salt them at the end of cooking. Otherwise, it will give juice and “go limp” ahead of time. Fry until cooked.

While the potatoes are cooking, place the chopped onion in another frying pan and fry it a little in vegetable oil. After a couple of minutes, you should add frozen honey mushrooms. As they defrost in the pan, they will release water and practically cook in it. At this point you can add seasonings to taste. When all the liquid has evaporated, add sour cream to the honey mushrooms and fry the dish for about 5-7 minutes.

Now everything is ready. Pour potatoes and mushrooms into one bowl and mix. In addition, you can serve honey mushrooms and fried potatoes separately. This, as they say, is a matter of taste.

How to fry honey mushrooms

  • First, clean the mushrooms from blades of grass and leaves, trim off the long stems (leaving about 1.5 cm). Boil in salted water twice: 15 minutes each time. After the first cooking, drain the water and rinse the honey mushrooms with running water. Boil a second time in fresh water. Drain the honey mushrooms in a colander;
  • While the mushrooms are cooking, fry the onion, cut into thin half rings or quarter rings until lightly browned. Salt the onion and add mushrooms to it. Fry for another 20 minutes. When the product is free of ice and water, and its fragments are easily separated from each other, it is ready for further preparation.

If the recipe calls for using vegetables (potatoes, onions, carrots), they must be washed under running water and peeled or peeled.
Important! Before freezing, fresh honey mushrooms must be cleaned of forest debris and washed in several waters. Next, boil in salted water for 40–60 minutes, strain off the moisture and then freeze, dividing into suitable portions.

Collection of honey mushrooms

If there are minor damaged areas on the fruit body, they can be cut off, leaving a healthy part. It is also recommended to trim the long leg a little, especially for the part that was immersed in the ground. To more thoroughly remove debris from the surface, the product can be carefully cleaned with a knife, removing only dirt.

Next, the mushrooms must be thoroughly rinsed under running water. If after washing all debris has not been removed, the fruiting bodies can be soaked in water with added salt. Since honey mushrooms quickly become saturated with water, they should not be kept in water for long; soaking for 20-30 minutes is enough.

General principles

Before frying and baking

Before frying, it is recommended to cook the product for 20 minutes, in two stages, where the first stage takes 5 minutes, and the second - 15 minutes. In this case, there is no need to cook the mushrooms until fully cooked, since another heat treatment will follow later. Therefore, the cooking time is reduced by 10 minutes.

How to cook honey mushrooms (video)

These are not all recipes for fried mushrooms. But in order not to spoil the pleasure of a delicious dish, you need to be able to distinguish edible honey mushrooms from their poisonous counterparts. Young edible varieties have a spherical cap, while adults have an almost flat cap with a small tubercle in the middle. It is dirty brown or yellowish in color, and in young individuals it is also scaly. The plates fit tightly to the stem, at first they are light, and then turn yellow. The stem of the mushroom is long, thin, slightly thicker at the bottom, and has a white ring on the top. In adult specimens, it has a rough and fibrous taste and is completely unsuitable for food.
