Potato casserole with minced meat and mushrooms is a wonderful dish for a family dinner. You can also serve this casserole on a holiday table. It combines meat, side dish, and mushroom sauce. Try it!

Ingredients:

  • Minced meat (pork, chicken) – 250 g
  • Fresh mushrooms – 200 g
  • Potatoes – 0.6 kg.
  • Carrots – 1 pc.
  • Onion – 1 pc.
  • Salt - to taste
  • Bay leaf – 2 pcs.

Step-by-step preparation:

Chop the onion and fry in a frying pan for 2-3 minutes until transparent.

Then add the minced meat and mix well so that it does not form lumps. Fry for 4-5 minutes over medium heat.

I used pork, but you can also use chicken or beef. It will be delicious with turkey too.

Clean and cut the mushrooms into thin slices and add to the meat.

You can take fresh champignons, honey mushrooms, porcini mushrooms or other forest mushrooms. I had frozen mushrooms.

Cook for 5 minutes.

Peel the potatoes and carrots and cut them into cubes. Send to the frying pan at the same time.

10 minutes before cooking, add bay leaf and salt to taste. If you have dried mushrooms, crush a couple in a mortar and add to the potatoes for flavor.

  1. Preference should be given to the packaged product. After all, on its packaging you can find a lot of important and useful information: composition, production date, expiration date, place of production. The best option would be if the packaging is transparent so that you can visually assess its contents.
  2. Minced meat may contain a small amount of soy. But no more than 10%.
  3. Please note that if the composition does not contain moisture-retaining components or soy, then there should be a small amount of liquid (juice) at the bottom of the package. This is acceptable. Moreover, the juice can tell about its freshness. If it is bright red, it means it is fresh. But if it is dark, cloudy and thick, then it is better not to buy such a product.

If you follow these simple rules, you will buy good minced meat and you will get very tasty potatoes. You can serve it with a spoonful of sour cream and fresh herbs.

To prepare we will need:

  • 5-6 medium potato tubers
  • 400-500 g minced meat
  • 300-400 g frozen mushrooms
  • salt
  • dry dill

  1. For the potatoes I used ground beef, but pork or mixed would work too. With pork, the dish will be fattier; with beef, it will be drier. Spread the minced meat in an even layer on a baking sheet. The bottom does not need to be lubricated with oil. Sprinkle dry dill and salt on top.
  2. Place a layer of potatoes on top. It's better to cut into thin slices. The thinner the plastic, the more tender our potatoes will be. You shouldn't make the layer too thick either. Then add a little salt again
  3. The next step is mushrooms. I used honey mushrooms. But you can also take oyster mushrooms. If the mushrooms are large, they need to be cut. Place a third layer on potato mugs. Spread a little mayonnaise on top. To make the dish fluffy, mayonnaise can be poured over it in thin strips. To do this, cut off a corner of the mayonnaise bag and squeeze it through a small slot.
  4. The final step is to lay out the last layer of potato plastic. Grease with a little mayonnaise and salt. The recipe turned out to be quite simple. Place in a preheated oven at 180 C for 40 minutes.

  • pickles - 2 pieces;
  • carrots - 2 pieces;
  • chicken egg - 2 pieces;
  • oil for molding and frying;
  • salt and pepper to taste.

To make the skins of potatoes and carrots easier to peel, after boiling, drain the water and pour in very cold water, maybe with ice.

Cooking:

  1. You need to start by boiling potatoes and carrots. Wash them and fill them with cold water. Place on the fire and cook until done. Boil vegetables in their skins. Then cut into large rings.
  2. Wash the meat well and dry with a paper towel. Cut into thin slices, like chops. Salt and pepper. We beat back a little.
