When I want to please my guests with original meat dishes, I prepare some interesting hearty cold dishes instead of mashed potatoes or rice. For example, I combine jacket potatoes baked in the oven with mushrooms and some canned food.

I just prefer not to make a mayonnaise dressing so that the dish looks like a complex side dish.

We will need:

  • Canned mushrooms and corn – 160 g each.
  • Baked potatoes in jackets – 2 pcs.
  • Red onion – 1 pc.
  • Dill – ½ bunch.
  • Sunflower oil, lemon juice - 2 tbsp. l.
  • Ground black pepper, salt, ground paprika, chili - to taste.

Preparation:

1. Pour the corn from the jar into a colander or a special mesh so that you can strain out all the liquid. Place the sweetish grains without marinade into a bowl. To combat the slightly cloying flavor, you can immediately add salt and pepper to this component.

If desired, add paprika and chili to your taste. Stir and set the container aside for now.

2. Cut the peeled red onion into strips as thin as you can manage. Purple stripes are not as “sharp” and bitter as regular white ones, so they don’t need to be pickled or doused with boiling water.

3. Remove the skins from the baked and cooled potatoes in their jackets and cut them into centimeter cubes. You can, of course, use cubes, but when stirring they will break if the tubers are of a crumbly variety.

4. Remove the harsh stems from the dill and chop the pre-washed leaves into small pieces with a knife. You can add other greens if desired.

5. Cut the champignons into quarters, or into thin slices - whatever your heart desires. If they are very small in the jar, then it is enough to turn each cap into two halves.

6. Combine all the cuts and season them with sunflower oil. Add lemon juice, which will give the salad a slight piquant sourness, and stir.

This dish is good in combination with pork and beef, as well as with fish or chicken. But you can also serve it as an independent Lenten dish.

Components required:

  • smoked hams – 3 pcs.;
  • pickled mushrooms – 300 g;
  • beans - 1 can;
  • onions – 2 pcs.;

  • mayonnaise.
