Take 0.5 tbsp. warm milk and dilute yeast and sugar in it.

Beat in the egg and mix thoroughly until smooth.

Prepare a surface for kneading dough and sift flour onto it. Make a well and pour in the milk with the diluted ingredients.

Add salt and vegetable oil, combine with flour and start kneading the dough.

Then leave the dough to rise for 60 minutes in a warm place. During this time, knead the mass once and let it rise again.

Roll out the dough onto the surface into a thin crust and grease with butter, which must first be melted.

Fold the layer in thirds and roll out thinly again. Repeat the process 3 more times and you can start cooking.

Mushroom pies fried in a frying pan

For a family dinner, you can simply fry mushrooms and onions in a frying pan, but if you have the time and desire, please your loved ones with mushroom pies. In this recipe we fry the pies in a frying pan. Knead the dough with water and fresh yeast, which will make the pies soft and crispy. For the filling we use champignons, but any mushrooms are suitable. This pastry will be a good addition to the Lenten table.

Ingredients:

  • Flour – 450 gr.
  • Fresh yeast – 15 gr.
  • Sugar – 0.5 tbsp.
  • Vegetable oil – 40 ml.

  • Onion – 40 g.
  • Ground black pepper - to taste
  • Vegetable oil - for frying.

Cooking process:

1. First of all, prepare all the ingredients in the quantities specified in the recipe.

2. Then we start kneading the yeast dough. Pour warm water into the mixing bowl and dissolve fresh yeast in it.

3. Then dissolve half a spoon of sugar in it and add a pinch of salt, because sugar is needed for the yeast to work well.

4. To make the dough soft and elastic, pour in vegetable oil and mix everything well.

5. Sift the wheat flour through a thick sieve and pour it into the liquid base in portions. At the same time, mix the dough with a spoon. The dough should be soft and slightly stick to the palm, so the amount of flour may be less than specified in the recipe.

6. Then roll the dough into a bun, cover with a napkin and place in a warm, draft-free place for 40 minutes.

7. During this time, prepare the mushroom filling. We clean the champignons, wash them and chop them into small pieces.

8. Chop the peeled onion into small cubes.

9. In heated vegetable oil and medium heat, fry these chopped ingredients for 5-6 minutes.

10. Towards the end of frying, sprinkle the mushroom filling with salt and black pepper to your taste.

11. Knead the dough, which has risen well and has increased 3 times in volume, by hand.

12. Then divide the dough into pieces the size of a chicken egg and roll it into thin flat cakes on a floured board.

13. Place mushroom filling on the dough.

14. Pinch the edges of the cake tightly with your fingers. Thus, we form all the pies.

15. Heat at least 100 ml of vegetable oil in a deep frying pan and place the pies in it.

16. Fry the pies for 3 minutes over medium heat until golden brown on one side.

17. Then turn it over and also fry on the other side.

18. Transfer the fried pies from the frying pan to a dish and let them cool slightly.

19. Mushroom pies are ready. We serve them to the table.

You can also bake a delicious mushroom pie from yeast-free puff pastry. To do this, we suggest that you familiarize yourself with the dough recipe.

  • Butter (chilled) – 380 g;
  • Flour – 0.5 kg;

  • Vegetable oil;
  • Salt, spices.

  • Hard cheese - 100 g

1. Peel the onions and cut into small pieces. Fry it in a frying pan with oil until golden brown.

2. Finely chop 200 g of champignons. Add them to the fried onions in the pan to fry together for 7-10 minutes. Add salt, pepper and stir.

3. Grate 100 g of hard cheese on a medium grater. Add it to the pan with the mushrooms and onions. Stir, turn off the heat, cool. The filling for the puff pastries is ready.
